Of course, many a day will be spent by the pool and what a lovely pool, its sparkling waters glimpsed through the hedges that edge the lower garden. A good size for swimming, at one end of the pool there is also a seating ledge for when the effort of swimming becomes too much. It overlooks the olive grove and edges the woodland which, as part of the property, can be explored at leisure.
Flowing over three floors, the interior is light and airy, with generously proportioned living accommodation. The main kitchen diner and living room are on the lower level, the place for groups to congregate. Catch the train from Attigliano (12km) or Orte (20km) and an hour later you will arrive in the heart of one of the world’s most iconic cities.
