Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Mustafa was a kind and informative host. He drove us from Mhamid to the camp with stops along the way to see camels, ostriches, local fauna and nomadic crafts. The round trip cost was 100 Euro and departures from the Hotel Kasbah Sahara Services at about 1400. Return the next morning was at 0900. The desert trip takes about 2 hours. We felt very safe the entire time. The camp was very clean and the food was excellent. A bit before sunrise we took a camel ride into the desert and our crew climbed up a sand dune to watch the sunrise. This was a great experience. Bathroom facilities work incredibly well for such a remote location. They even have solar/battery electric to power lights/plugs in the rooms and common area. We would not hesitate to recommend Sun Bivouac. The staff is wonderful. We didn’t have children with us, but others did and they all enjoyed the experience including the music/fire at night. The staff was very purposeful to make sure the kids had a good time.
