Summary: I booked this at the last minute for our family of 4. I see this as a modern day take on a backpackers. We stayed in a private 4-bed (2 bunk) dorm, including a private bathroom. Everything was clean, modern and looked to be a new. There were outdoor areas, room keys were managed within an app (super easy), and staff were friendly. The location is great, about a 10 minute walk from Central or Redfern stations. There are plenty of e-bikes to hire which makes the trip back to the CBD fast and fun. Just don't confuse the private 4-bed dorm for a private queen room - you still need to BYO towel, or buy one at the reception.
