Positive: Their rental unit is new. It is built as though they built it for themselves. They spared no expense in its provisions. Multi-zone AC, doors and windows with glass and wooden shutters, modern kitchen, lovely bath, a real wood-burning fireplace, and a walk-in closet. The area is quiet, the patio is a terrific hangout with seating for a large family on a warm day. It is a mere 10 min from Assisi and 7 minutes from a massive Conrad supermarket. The young couple live underneath with their entrance on an entirely different side, so you feel you have complete privacy. Their unit is partially below ground, and it is clear they must have decided to rent the better unit to guests. They welcome you with genuine smiles, speak English, and give you their full attention when you need it. I have met a lot of hosts over the years and quite often it is clear owners have a routine and it is entirely a transaction for them. This young couple really want to make a good impression with the quality of their unit and their treatment of you. This was our best stay on this 6 week trip in Italy.
