It is a perfect spot for outdoor activities: walking on the beach or mountain, swimming, surfing or kite-surfing. The house is 10 minutes' walk from the white sandy beach. Also within easy walking distance are 3 restaurants and a deli which sells fresh and organic produce, local craft beer and wine, fresh juices, coffee, homemade ice-cream and fresh baked bread.
The area is a birder's paradise. Watch endemic Cape Sugarbird and sunbirds in the fynbos garden and African Black Oyster Catchers on the beach.
The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (ostrich, fynbos and marine species), Kommetjie (terns and cormorants), Boulders Beach (African penguins) and Simons Town (pelagic tours) are all within 10km of the house.
